Composition rules in Photography

 1. Rule of thirds



In this photograph, the basket of sunflowers is the main subject and is 

placed off-centre using the grid. 



2. The Golden Ratio



In this photograph, the lampshade is the subject and is placed in the centre.



3. Leading lines 



In this photograph, the pathway acts like the leading lines.




4. Diagonal lines 



This photograph is clicked diagonally, using the grid.



5. Frame within a frame 



In this photograph, the window acts as another frame, within the frame.



6. Figure to ground





In these photographs, the main subjects which are, the coffee cup and the ice cream.
 contrasts with the background and stands out.



7. Fill the frame



In this photograph, the subject occupies a significant portion of the image, 
leaving little space around it.


8. Centre dominant eye



In this photograph, the subject's dominant eye is the centre of the image.




9. Patterns and repetition





The repetitive pattern of the subject makes the photograph look visually pleasing.




10. Symmetry and asymmetry



In the case of this photograph, the subject is clicked symmetrically.
