Ott or Theatre?

The loud background scores while watching your favourite actor on the big screen gives you an unexplainable sense of happiness when you truly enjoy their screen presence. Theatre and Ott both, have advantages of their own. You could enjoy a film in a theatre with the rest of the audience cheering or you could relax at home and watch a film in your private space, on an online platform to pass time. 

Most of the people who were asked this question preferred theatre over Ott as they personally felt that the movie is livelier and more enjoyable in a theatre than at home, on a small screen. 

Some of them answered saying that it depends on the kind of movie it is to decide whether to watch it in the theatre or on Ott. Certain films are better viewed at home, in your own comfort while some are directed for the big theatre screens. Hence, they preferred both modes depending on the genre of the movie. 

Different styles of theatres are present suitable to the likings of the audience. There are multiplexes, single screen theatres, luxury theatres, etc. People also build home theatres to try and get the feel of both experiences at once. Audience who enjoy watching films in the theatre but cannot afford expensive tickets would prefer watching it for less price in single screen theatres. There are certain movies that are more entertaining when watched in single screen.

Ott platforms are not completely replacing the cinematic experience of watching a film in a theatre but are cost effective and more convenient for viewers. This mode is more beneficial for audiences who don’t like crowded theatres or stepping out of their homes to watch a movie. Additionally, it gives more employment opportunities for a large number of film enthusiasts.
