What is Visual Design? The goal of the multidisciplinary discipline of visual design is to communicate ideas visually by utilising different design elements, typography, colour, layout, and imagery. It covers a broad spectrum of media, such as digital, print, interactive, and environmental design. The purpose of visual design is to effectively and appealingly arrange visual elements in order to convey a message or elicit a particular response from the viewer. Visual design uses appropriate pictures, typography, space, layout, and colour to enhance a design's or product's aesthetic appeal and usability. There is more to visual design than just aesthetics.
